Overview

Traitors is a social deduction game where players are divided into two teams: the Faithful and the Traitors. The goal of the Faithful is to identify and eliminate all Traitors, while the Traitors attempt to remain hidden and eliminate the Faithful.

Setup

  • The game requires 5-15 players
  • Players are secretly assigned roles at the beginning of the game
  • Number of Traitors is determined by player count:
    • 5-6 players: 1 Traitor
    • 7-9 players: 2 Traitors
    • 10-12 players: 3 Traitors
    • 13-15 players: 4 Traitors
  • All other players are assigned as Faithful

Gameplay Phases

1. Night Phase

During the night, Traitors secretly meet and choose a member of the Faithful to eliminate. All other players keep their eyes closed during this phase.

2. Day Phase

Players discuss who they suspect might be a Traitor. This is the time for debate, accusation, and defense. At the end of the day, all players vote on who to eliminate from the game.

Winning the Game

The Faithful win if they successfully eliminate all Traitors.

The Traitors win if they achieve numerical parity with the Faithful (equal number of Traitors and Faithful remaining).

Tips for Playing

  • Pay attention to player behavior and voting patterns
  • Take notes during discussions to track suspicious activity
  • Be strategic with your accusations and defenses
  • Remember that deception is part of the game - trust carefully!
